Re: /usr/share/mythtv/database/mc.sql: No such file [Solved]

That flags should apply for both QT3 and QT4, then. However, keep in mind tha MythTV requires QT3, so it probably will be installed also. That means that you maybe should use the "-qt3support" flag whenemerging QT4, as you will have both installed (that flag is for adding support for QT3 application...

Re: /usr/share/mythtv/database/mc.sql: No such file or directory

Yes, <x11-lib/qt-4 -pertty immqt-bc means that those flags are for versions prior to 4. Best regards, Eduard Hi, Check "/etc/portage/package.use" and make sure that there is ONLY one instance of x11-libs/qt. IIRC there was more than one, differentiating between QT3 and QT4. You should maybe remove a...

Hi, Check "/etc/portage/package.use" and make sure that there is ONLY one instance of x11-libs/qt. IIRC there was more than one, differentiating between QT3 and QT4. You should maybe remove all and leave only one in form suggested before: x11-libs/qt mysql opengl This way it should work. Regards.

Re: Long pause at 'mdev' phase...

I have this problem with 2.6.23 but not with 2.6.22. I also have a card reader (in the floppy bay). Hi, The problem is really not in the kernel code but in genkernel, which defines the contents of the initramfs scripts (see the code above). You probably compiled 2.6.22 some time ago, and the genker...

Re: Long pause at 'mdev' phase...

Update: I think I've found the cause of the problem looking at this code in /usr/share/genkernel/generic/initrd.scripts: start_dev_mgr() { # Check udev is available... if [ "${KV_2_6_OR_GREATER}" -a ! "${USE_UDEV_NORMAL}" -eq '0' ] then USE_UDEV_NORMAL=1 else USE_UDEV_NORMAL=0 fi if [ "${USE_UDEV_NO...

Re: Long pause at 'mdev' phase...

Sorry, but for God's sake I'm unable to find how must I disable the "slowusb" genkernel option. Apparently this flag is the responsible of the pauses, but I can't find where or why is it used in genkernel. The line I use to invoke genkernel is the following (copied from Wiki): genkernel --kernel-con...

Re: Long pause at 'mdev' phase...

I think you might want to recompile the kernel removing all the features that will make initramfs bigger...so have a look at genkernel options and select what you need then recompile I don't think it's a problem of initramfs being bigger or smaller: it's a timeout problem. The boot process simply "...

Long pause before and after 'Activating mdev...' (2.6.23-r1)

Hi, I'm having this problem again after upgrading the kernel to 2.6.23-r1): the boot process takes a long pause after and before the "Activating mdev..." phase, adding a total of nearly 40s of boot time. This is cause by the presence of a memory card reader in the system and the way Sabayon waits fo...
