Re: ATI video not available

Ok, the apu uses the Radeon driver. As for changing our switching workspaces in cinnamon, Ctrl+Alt+ (left or right).

Re: ATI video not available

That Depends.. Which Desktop Environment are you using?

Also what is the graphic card you're using? (only reason I ask, is that's the difference between using Open source radeon or Open source AMDGPU currently)

Re: Nvidia Radeon swap. [Solved]

Yeah, I didn't think it was going that way at first either. But it was claimed they are trying to opensource everything and there will be no difference between AMDGPU and AMDGPU-PRO beyond the extra QUAL testing and requirements for business users.

Re: Nvidia Radeon swap. [Solved]

the new proprietary ATI drivers Just for the record: There are NO proprietary ATI drivers. :D Just to be contrary, there are no proprietary ATI kernel drivers, but there are proprietary "userland drivers". :P Proprietary userland drivers are all but dead. AMDGPU-PRO is only AMDGPU with a few things...

Issues with steam controller?

If you game on linux using steam and have a steam controller you may have noticed something interesting. the steam controller appears to be working, but doesn't work in games. digging around I found in an arch community forum there's a quick and easy fix for that! as root vi /etc/udev/rules.d/99-ste...

Re: Steam - OpenGL problem [Solved]

I've created a quick script to get rid of the crap from steam that causes us to not be able to play after an update of steam. create an empty txt file. call it steamfix.sh or whatever. paste this inside. sudo chmod +x steamfix.sh then ./steamfix.sh and enjoy steam! #!/bin/bash STEAMRUNTIME="~/.local...

Re: NVidia fails to start after update (2015-01-29)

This exact same thing happened to me and my AMD R7 250! I can switch to opensource graphics, but it seems proprietary drivers have taken a dump :( I've got a feeling this has something to do with systemd-logind. I've got the same exact error, difference being its not nvidia. FGLRX also complains of ...

Re: no GUI.. stuck at> logged in as root

Yep, issue is as I thought. When you "disable" the Integrated Graphics the system can still see the graphics device. All it does is make the PCI-E card the primary graphics adapter. I doesn't "remove" it from the system as it is part of the CPU itself. I've updated the wiki to help workaround this i...
