Daniel, what about using Sabayon 4.1 :) ? i downloaded sabayon gnome 4.1(i love GNOME ;) ), and i tried it, it looks damn good, but lacks some good old apps such as google earth, opera...etc....couldn't figure out how to use spritz and install those.... anyway i like out of the box compiz accelerat...

hi all, i am setting up internet caffe(8 computers(geforce6,512 or 1GB ram, cpu ~2000mhz)), so i am considerig using Sabayon Linux 4 "LiteMCE", , ...or you can suggest me another linux distrubution,..... i would like it to be internet/office/user friendly, and if possible desktop eyecandy(compiz) :D...

i really don't need a server enviroment...it is more like a workstation/desktop machine, but for a business usage(inovices, accounting, bills, email, orders......etc)

i like extensive responses ...tnx :D let me teel you what is my gretest fear/fobia in linux...it is the lack of knowledege how to recover data from partition or hard drive if linux crashes..... for example when my windows xp crashsed and i end up with damaged partition and non working xp....and then...

my past experience teached me i shouldn't rely on ups.................. anyway as you can see data integrity is very important to me.....once ubuntu failed me something with grub stage problem and i couldnt fix the problem...... i am not experienced linux user, i have used sabayon before(3.4 version...
