Re: Need help connecting wirelessly.

:( sorry it didn't work. I think there are ways to setup the network so that it reconnects after a certain amount off time when there's none or bad connection. Maybe you should try another wireless client manager. I heard wicd does a good job. There's also ways to display your connection with a simp...

Re: Need help connecting wirelessly.

You can also open a console (search in the kde menu under system and open terminal program). Via session (menu bar) you can choose to open a new root shell. Now type your root password and you can edit your system/network settings.

Re: 3.4e + Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG problem

Try this: quit knetworkmanager and choose not to automatically start it again at boot. now run the following command as root: net-setup Go trough this wizard, it asks you to choose your device, it asks if it is a wireless device and so on, then fill in you ssid and encryption key when needed. If you...

Re: wireless stops at 28% and then fails to connect

Ok I've been fiddling around yet more. And crossed a couple of advises on this forum for previous versions of sabayon. This is what worked for me: Go to knetworkmanager and quit it, when it asks if you still want to start it automatically at boot choose no. (never again!) Then run a root shell and t...

Re: wireless stops at 28% and then fails to connect

With me, the problem was the wep passphrase. I had to select HEX! Then after two times it will connect properly. The thing is every time I reboot I get the same problem, I select my network, fill in the wep and change to HEX! But the first time it hangs at 28% or 57% then it fails. When I try the se...

Re: Problem with GMA965.Help me experts!

I think I'm experiencing the same problem with the intel 965 (notebook so x3100). Whenever I try to something that needs a little more graphical effects (compiz, games), the system freezes. It does so in de life cd environment but doesn't disappear when you install to your harddrive. So far I tried ...
