Re: Opera very unstable in new 5.4 x64 install

I just downloaded and installed the 10.63RC tarball from the Opera website. So far, it's working. This was the 64 bit install, will do the 686 later.

Re: Opera very unstable in new 5.4 x64 install

Would those describe what you are seeing? I'm not exactly 'dragging' the bookmarks just trying to access them normally but the problem is definitely centered on bookmark usage. Perhaps the upcoming 10.70 version will behave better. The betas are hard-masked in Portage at the moment. Hopefully this ...

Re: Opera very unstable in new 5.4 x64 install

I have deleted /.opera every time I uninstalled/reinstalled Opera in this process. Opera works under fluxbox and xfce, still not in kde. For fun I installed the 686 kde version on another partition. Opera still didn't work under kde, but did under fluxbox and xfce. Then I installed the 10.62 version...

Re: Opera very unstable in new 5.4 x64 install

I tried the commands given by Fitzcarraldo to install 10.62. Installed fine but same problem, instant crash when trying to access many of the bookmarks. I started Opera via the command line and there was nothing of note indicated. Tonight Sulfur offered to update my 10.62 to 10.61. I let it, what th...

Opera very unstable in new 5.4 x64 install

I installed the kde 64 bit version of 5.4 yesterday and everything is great except for the performance of my favourite/most used program. I couldn't get the Opera mail client to work properly and had to uninstall/reinstall to get that working. But the biggest problem is when I go to select on of the...

Re: Where are all the users?

I've had a Sabayon install for a couple of years now, never as a main distro but as something that is intriguing and that I want to keep an eye on. I looked forward to the 5.0 release but was very frustrated when I couldn't get either version of kde to boot on my machine (booted on wife's laptop). T...

Re: Administrator Mode 4.1 KDE

I was able to set autlogon with "kdesu systemsettings" - enter password and it will give you systemsettings as root.

Speaking of which, any idea when it's coming out? When gnome was released on the 13th it was stated kde would come out in a week. Want it to be good of course so I'm not asking for a rush job just anxiously awaiting it.

May I ask where you downloaded it from? I've looked at several sources and the quickest one is looking to be almost 2 days. That sucks......

Re: Ron Paul

Honestly, I'm pretty sure McCain is gonna win the Republican primaries. So I'm going with Obama vs. McCain Me too. Edwards was my preferred choice for the dems but as it's now a two person race I'll take the most electable so we can hopefully end the horror that has been the last eight years of a r...
