Re: Sabayon Linux x86/x86-64 3.4 Revision F: Stable Release

It worked !!! It worked !!! I was able to connect for the first time! Thank you WarraWarra I still have some system lockup issues which seem to be diminished when I turn off the kicker menu and use the standard KDE menu. Re: Sabayon Linux x86/x86-64 3.4 Revision F: Stable Release

The updated Linux Kernel 2.6.22.6 still hasn't fixed the WPA2 Encryption problems I experience with the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Adapter.
I can see my network but not connect to it. What's up with that?

Re: Sabayon Linux x86/x86-64 3.4 Revision F: Stable Release

Linux Kernel 2.6.22.6 includes wireless fixes, which are apparently affecting a lot of people. Knetworkmanager has been blaming the kernel on it's problems. I think it might only be affecting using WPA2 encryption. Your mileage may vary ...

Re: wireless stops at 28% and then fails to connect

Thank you for telling me this is a bug. It ends up locking my notebook and pissing me off. This is the 2nd Sabayon DVD I have downloaded 3.4e and now 3.4f, with the identical problem. I get tired of downloading DVD's that keep locking up my system. I hope this is fixed and they post that it is fixed...

Re: Sabayon Linux x86/x86-64 3.4 Revision F: Stable Release

I can see my wireless SSID, so the adapter is working, but how do I enter the WPA2 Key so I can connect to it?
I have been reading the FAQ's, but nothing I try seems to be fixing the connection problem. PCLinuxOS 2007 connects just fine.

Re: 3.4e + Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG problem

I am also having trouble with 3.4e + Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG. I can see my network, but not connect to it.
I am using the 64-bit version with the adapter found on eth1 and using WPA2 encryption.

any help would be appreciated.

Re: Sabayon Linux x86/x86-64 3.4 Revision F: Stable Release

Does anyone know if the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG is working properly in this release, with WPA2 encryption and without having to fix anything?

Re: Sabayon freezes constantly.

I read about some people having to specify a novkm boot option to keep it from freezing.
Maybe someone else will reply with how to do it, what it does and if it will work. At least this gives something to search for ...

Re: Sabayon freezes constantly.

I've been having the same problem on my HP DV9200 (Intel Based System) to the point that I just want to throw the DVD out the window.
I've been using the LiveDVD and was going to install it, but I'm scared to even try. :!:
