sure it would be ok...if every noob knows where he's supposed to post his problem...I think It would be better in any case to have simple forum topics to avoid confusion...it's ok to have subforums but we have to keep them as few as possible

just look how many people write post in the wrong part of the forum here and there are really few choices....so imagine if you have many....

It might be handy to have subfora but indeed not to many.

If I might make a suggestion; I would ike to find a graphics- or generally driver-related sub-forum.
But it will be a difficult job to decide what subfora you would want. And think of the enormous amount of work it will be to keep track of all the info......
Not that it isn't already.

Good luck to the moderators, whatever decision you will make!

I agree with darkmage, we need the more general forums like we have coz for some reason people don't know where to post with 3 simple areas, let alone what's happening here

because we need to create subforums for SL discussions.

Forum: SL General Discussion
subforum: x86 Ed
subforum: x86-64 Ed
subforum: distro devel

etc...

That way too complicated, we already have x86 and x86-64 forums for that sort of dicussion, and it makes it easy to just keep it all in there

where as if you have multiple forums for the same thing, it gets very confusion and harder to reply and maintain and even search for previous fixes. I think it will lead to a higher volume in duplicates
