Installing VirtualBox

Postby Dingo » Sun Apr 12, 2009 11:45

I have Virtual Box 2.0.6 installed and would like to install 2.2. I am not to sure how to go about it. I downloaded it from Sun website. Do I have to un-install the old version first? I am not to sure how to use Gentoo.
Any chance I could get a step by step guide or I get a pointer how to use the update function in Sabayon? Thank you. :)

Solution found here :

I beleived it could help someone else.

Sorry if it has already been posted somewhere else.

"Dunsurfin"
The first link you gave seems dead when I load it. Could be my Tequila internet connection LOL It makes it go funny.

Maybe the info has moved or is being rebuilt or if you have a backup copy maybe we can restore it.
Damn there is a lot of wiki articles that needs 4.1 / 4.2 updating and archiving.

Hi,
I have thes same problem, and have edit VirtualBox.xml as given in the forum above. But I still get two blank windows. I observe that VirtualBox.xml always returns to its content. Anymore more help? Thanks a lot
