Sabayon Community

I'm 110% new to Sabayon and 98% new to linux. Have a little experience with Ubuntu, but want to get a grip on Sabayon. The Spritz Package Manager, Entropy and Portage are greek to me. Please point me in the right direction for a guide to working with these and tell me the difference between Entropy and Portage. Currently stumped when I open Spritz it tells me Gnome 2.26 is available, but I should upgrade Entropy Framework to 0.93. A web search for 0.93 doesn't tell me anything. Is there a User's Manual or something out there for newbies to Sabayon?

Veeeeeeeery useful explanation of the differences between Entropy/Spritz/equo and Portage/Portato/emerge
(which I personally think should be added to the Wiki or at least made sticky)
