/usr/bin/python: bad interpreter no such file/directory

Hey my printer works! But after routine "equo update;emerge --sync && layman -s"; "equo install entropy spritz equo" and "equo world --ask" I heard beep 2x from my pc and terminal said it was updating and assembling programs with python 2.5. Older python would still be available. Only 2 new programs were installed and about 20 no longer used ones were removed. Then trying "equo", "layman" or "emerge" command gave me the above error
So whereas Spritz stopped working earlier now these others won't work. /usr/bin shows python and python-config with Xs and python-config-2.5 with blue and yellow backward s's like many other files there. How do I recoup?

seems to me that you have a python problem. i see something on this, in this Sabayon forum. seach for the posts of the expert wolfden, on python....
i have in mind that you may try:

I never had such problems and I installed Python 2.6 via Portage (only requirement is building it with sqlite3 uselfag).
