/usr/bin/python: bad interpreter no such file/directory

Postby lestoil81 » Thu May 14, 2009 0:26

Hey my printer works! But after routine "equo update;emerge --sync && layman -s"; "equo install entropy spritz equo" and "equo world --ask" I heard beep 2x from my pc and terminal said it was updating and assembling programs with python 2.5. Older python would still be available. Only 2 new programs were installed and about 20 no longer used ones were removed. Then trying "equo", "layman" or "emerge" command gave me the above error :!:
So whereas Spritz stopped working earlier now these others won't work. /usr/bin shows python and python-config with Xs and python-config-2.5 with blue and yellow backward s's like many other files there. How do I recoup?

I never had such problems and I installed Python 2.6 via Portage (only requirement is building it with sqlite3 uselfag).
I want to recall everybody the eselect tool:
Code: Select all
eselect python
