Can not add repository[Solved]

Well I have googled the crap out of it bt I can not find Newbie instrctions on how to add a repository, I have read the How to add repositories wiki and still dont fully understand. It says to add the repository string to /etc/entropy/repositories.conf. So where do you add it?? I want to add the Zenana repository and I dont know where to put this:

repository|zenana|Zenana x86-64|http://entropy.hyperfish.org|http://entropy.hyperfish.org#bz2#2323,2424

Sorry for the question, due to the factit is in the wiki etc, but I still dont fully understand the procedure. I feel like this has been a very one sided relationship but hopefully in time I can give something back.

All I did was
Edit as root and add entry on a new line after the last entry to the section # Sabayon Linux Official Repository

For example in my /etc/entropy/repositories.conf the last entry in the # Sabayon Linux Official Repository is
repository|sabayonlinux.org||http://na.mirror.garr.it/mirrors/sabayonlinux/entropy|

Hope this is what you wanted to know

I log on to terminal as root and type: /etc/entropy/repositories.conf an it says - Permission denied? I had tried that earlier and could not get past the 1st line. Thanks for your help.

I use the KDE GUI and not sure about getting programs to run as root in a
terminal using Gnome besides from just doing su, for example under kde typing
kdesu "name of program" will open the program as root, there would be a similar
command under Gnome

Experienced users would suggest to use nano or vi from the command line to edit
your files

Here is one of many ways you can edit your conf files

In terminal type (don't type ~ $ or #)
~ $ su
Password: (type your root password)

Once you type your password you will be able to edit text files with your
favourite text editor
type
# gedit /etc/entropy/repositories.conf

add your entry, save and close gedit

type
# exit
~ $ exit
