It was great to see the live-dvd and the installed SB4.1 also connect me to the internet automatically. My desktop is connected through a router to my dsl modem. Prior to this I used pppoe to connect to internet. Other than those connections I'm not on a network setup.
When I ran Entropy Repository manager no connection was established. And I was told to check my network setup.( I haven't run pppoe either.) I don't think I am on a network and would like to disable some of the network programs for better security and leaner SB. Anyone have any advise please?
Not sure if this is related but the Spritz program doesn't actually download/install programs. When I picked 5 progams to install, I got as far as you must read and agree to acroread license. After saying I agree Spritz acknowledged the agreement and got stuck their. Then with a sense of humor the message came up "I'm just hanging around, not really doing anything " Equos was able to get the packages. Firefox works fine. Thanx for the easy install dvd:)
