How do i get a usb drive to work on sabayon 4.1?

You have to connect it to your pc...
It depends to which Desktop Environment you have, in Gnome it appears on the
lower right of the screen, on the panel.

Please provide more info on what you need the usb to do and what version of SL you are using.
As Micia mentioned = 4.1 gnome / kde = stick it in and wait aboiut 5 to 30 seconds and it pops-up similar as a dvd would do in windows.
