Hi, I'm new to Sabayon, I used to use Ubuntu. I've got a problem with my HP Pavilion DV5 1150ew notebook, the speaker isn't working(the headphones work alright, if that's relevant), I can hear the beep at the logon screen & that's about it. Please help 
P.S. I've tried all the tutorials, and none of them work for me.

if your headphones are working but your speakers aren't check
sounds like you have a channel muted or low on volume.

Ihave the same problem with my acer aspire 6920G can you please post if the fix worked for you i love this new Sabayon experiance and will likly continue without sound but i would really like it to be totaly free from Pill Grates
