No access to Login Manager [Solved]

you run it as root user .. for modify the login manager.

yeah try "alt+F2"
then
"kdesu systemsettings" or it might be "kdesu system-settings" can't remember exactly I don't use KDE4.2
If you check the wiki, use the search function and google you can find the answer to most of your questions.
