Is 450mb update normal after sabayon 4.1dvd install?[Solved]

I have just downloaded and did successfully the things in forum "Fresh Install - What to do?". After that it asked me if I want to update and I must download 450 mb. Is it normal after fresh DVD install or did I something wrong?

I installed that version a few days ago, and the update was 345MB, so yes, I think it is normal.
If it works, it is normal

Consider that you could update some applications like OpenOffice or similar, you could
take a look at the packages you are going to update with:

equo world --ask


(which I personally recommend)

You could also simulate the update process with:

equo world --pretend


if you are unsure.
Also. if you want to free some space cleaning the packages after the installation
do:

equo cleanup


Why are you worried about the size of the update?

I don't care the space I have 150 gb free space. This is the first time I have met Sabayon. And although I did cd installation with other disributions generally they don't need update nearly 2 or 3 weeks. After dvd installation the size of the update makes me ufraid. I just want to ask not to do something wrong.

If you have doubts, we are here to answer you

I do recommend performing equo cleanup once in a while, since equo does not perform
auto cleaning.
However keep in mind that you are not obliged to update your system if it works for
you, so no need to update each day.

But if you want to keep always up to date, take a look at the entropy-notification-applet,
it is an applet that will inform you on new updates, since it is, as Spritz. pretty young, equo is still
the recommended way to manage packages, as it will not fail.

I am just testing Sabayon. And I am trying to understand. I am a curious and eager person to learn new things. Up to now, I am not sure if sabayon is perfect or not (as I haven't learnt yet), but it is clear that this community is certainly perfect.

Branch 4 is a rolling release, so you get the latest and greatest, so you will be running 4.1+ currently as new packages have been put in the tree, staying with updates mean you will be upgraded to 4.2, 4.3 etc
