So i finally got Sabayon to install on Virtual box! Started it up, logged in, desktop showed,....and then it all goes white and does nothing else.

The mouse still moves and clicking and dragging makes the mouse change, but i can't see anything. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have tried reinstalling, but still goes white. Any help on this would be nice.

I had the same issue when the livecd booted.. but when I did the install the issue went away unless I started Compiz. Also what version of Virtualbox.. I had to downgrade to 2.1.4 on 2.2.2 it was white all the time as well.

sounds like graphics issue. see if you can get to a tty. make sure you capture your mouse/keyboard inputs or you'll just switch your host to tty :p

If you can get to a tty it's just a matter of regular graphics troubleshooting.

you can hit <host> + f1 to do a control + alt +f1 in the guest to get to a tty

Disable 3D acceleration in your Virtual Machine settings.

So does that mean that 3d acceleration is impossible when using let's say Sabayon as guest with Virtualbox 2.2.2 on a Kubuntu 9.04 as host? (Even if I install Guest Additions)
