Really Big Noob Here

Postby stratman » Sun Apr 26, 2009 18:44

Hi everybody! I guess you can see my login is "stratman?" Well, I know absolutely zero about any type of Linux. I have managed to install Sabayon 4.0 on my B drive and it is up and running the very first time. I do have some questions though.
I want to install Thunderbird for my email. I found it but how do I get it to install? I also want to install Wine and Wine Doors. I found them also but I don't know how to install them. Will someone please tell me how to do this? Thanks and everybody have a great day.

Have you looked at our wiki as it has comprehensive information for the package manager

http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=Entropy

it is vital to go through and learn the package manager, there is also portage, but new people should stick with entropy the binary package manager. So please take some time and look over that article, it should get you on your way quickly
