there are no ebuilds to satisfy "kde" [Solved]

Hi, just installed sabayon 4.1 with the XBMC media center option. I tried to do a emerge kde but got this answer, there are no ebuilds to satisfy "kde". What does that meen?? And why can't i play my mp3 files or copy mp3-files from my external hdd onto my internal hdd?

if you want install kde use equo install kde-meta

found a guide on wiki that helped ( http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php? ... positories ) now i'm just waiting on kde-meta...package 240/292...

but still, i cant believe that this will solve my mp3 problem.. or is it?

There is a section in there just for you titled: Fresh Install - What to do?

For your mp3's they should work out of the box. Hopefully after you follow the Fresh Install instructions they will.

i tried that but somewhere on the way i messed up and now i'm just gonna settle with a regular sabayon install... hopefully will i learn enough to make the xbmc work later.

should i mark it as "canceled" instead of "solved" ??

Mark it as to whatever, you feel the solution to your problem is. If your request is canceled then I would mark it canceled. If, the resolution of your problem was to re-install sabayon differently mark it solved as such"
It's not super important either way, so long as it is marked.
The reasoning behind marking the threads in this manor is so that people thinking/researching your problem don't waste their brain power on support questions that no longer need support.
