I had been using SLfor 2 years and SL 4.0 since Dec. I decided to update via equo and I did upgrade to SL4.1 and everything worked well with gnome desktop. I wanted to install webilder wallpaper changer software and make some cosmetic changers to the desktop. Sometime after that I restarted the computer and I logged in. A few seconds later the login prompts returned, so I logged in again and I got an error box with the following message:
Your session only lasted less than 10 seconds. If you have not logged yourself out, this could mean that there is some installation problem or that you may be out of diskspace. Try logging on with one of the failsafe sessions to see if you can fix this problem.
The error box allowed me to view /xsession-error file:

--------------
I clicked on OK in the error box and the computer restarted.
Per the error message I restarted in Gnome Failsafe to see if I could figure out how to recover, but I could not find an obvious resolution from my problem and tried researching some things I thought might lead me to solving the problem. But, this problem is well beyond my limited knowledge of linux as I am just a user.
I am now running on the KDE desktop which is OK, but not my desktop of choice.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
