Can't Use The Live DVD [Solved]

Hello all, This is my first time with Sabayon (and by the way it looks great, just the website is enough to make me want to use it) but I downloaded the DVD from 2 different places and check the md5sums and everything matched up, but when i boot into the live environment after the load screen it just stays black.. Now I had a problem like this when I first installed ubuntu 8.10 and found out it was caused by compiz and after installing I had to login via terminal and remove compiz but the problem now has been fixed (or something) with the updated compiz.. could there be a similar problem here or is it something else.

Hi, I had the same problem once with Ubuntu. I solved it setting "Safe Graphic Mode" when the CD booted (I mean the first thing you see of the CD, where you choose the language ).... I don't remember if there is something like that in Sabayon, but you should try it

Sabayon has compiz too, try to remove it as you did with Ubuntu

Woohoo using Sabayon I tried to boot in safe mode thing but still didn't work, so I added xdriver=vesa to the boot perimeter and it worked... looks great nice work Sabayon team.
