Starcraft battle.net [Solved]

Postby v2k » Tue Mar 10, 2009 9:07

I see some people posting that they've gotten Starcraft to work under wine. I'm able to install and run a legit copy via wine. However, when I try to connect to battle.net it (instantly) reports:

Code: Select all
Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall and then reinstall the application. If the problem persists then you may have a computer virus. For information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com

Anyone fix this? Anyone able to connect and play on bnet?

In case anyone else gets this, the fix for me was to turn off Compiz.
