A slick new appearance lies on top of a superbly stable system, which enables the whole package to be favourably compared to Linux greats such as Fedora, OpenSUSE and Mandriva.
I have recently been trying the latest releases of Fedora, OpenSUSE and Mandriva, (in fact I'm typing this on a PC running OpenSUSE 11.1) and fully agree with the last sentence above. SL has been the Linux distribution on my main PC, used professionally and at home, for almost two years, and I have no intention of switching to anything else.
Thank you again to the small team of dedicated people who develop and maintain the distribution.
