emerge + make.conf on a 64 bit platform

I 've successfully installed Sabayon 4rc1 on my intel corequad box.
I am on the east coast of USA. What should be my GENTOO_MIRRORS and SYNC entries?
When I do emerge --update world I get a lot of complains about sabayon ebuilds as well as
complains from layman. "Missing digest"

or maybe I have to approach this problem differently????
The ultimate goal is to be updated with the latest 64 bit code of the applications, as well as being able to
emerge without errors.

Logs? Package name? Is it OUR overlay?
You will need to read the docs for portage, run

as root to check everything is ok

Welcome aboard, have you looked into entropy? Its much easier to use overall.

Well I did read about Entropy, sounds good.
Will portage be aware of installations made by Entropy and vise-versa?

Anyway . emaint --all
it showed a bunch of missing packages. Strange thing, it mention packages I know are installed.

Well all you need to do now is remove/mask blockers/slot conflicts and emerge world
