equo update stops at 14 segments out of 22 for Sabayon repos

Postby mdmarmer » Sat Jan 31, 2009 5:05

It's done this twice in a row -- I don't know if it's my connection, the mirror, or something I needed to do after it stopped the first time. I do
equo update
it gets part way through, message is
(svn.sabayonlinux.org:1026) Successfully connected to host
(14/22) Fetching segments ...
and it just sits there -- and my internet connection is still working

(of course I may not have waited long enough -- maybe segment 15 or 16 is much larger than 1 thru 14 -- I'll try waiting longer)

Yes it seems to be larger or just a very slow drop. I had a similar occurence an just waited it out. Have a cup of coffee or watch a little tv.

I grew the threads killer timeout on the server from 30 seconds to 120. Should work better now ;)

Code: Select all

This above happens to me on equo update or equo update force.

Not sure why it is switching from 10mb to 20mb file halfway thru.

Might want to try to force conections to alternative servers if connection is longer than x amount of time busy instead ?
