libstdc++.so.6 removed by entropy

Postby mordjah » Fri Dec 26, 2008 2:11

I did an upgrade yesterday, and entropy asked me to remove packages that no longer exist in the db. along the way it seems to have removed /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6, needed by firefox and others. I re-installed libstdc++, libstdc++-v3, and firefox, and still reports no file by that name. I tried linking to one of the other libstdc++'s in /usr/lib and it complained tht CXX_VERSION=3.4 could not be found. Google turnes up nothing helpful, and I'm not sure what kind of debug output will be helpful. This is a system that was migrated from sab 1x.

Cheers

Code: Select all
# gcc-config -l
 * gcc-config: Active gcc profile is invalid!

 [1] i586-pc-linux-gnu-4.3.1
# gcc-config 1
* Switching native-compiler to i586-pc-linux-gnu-4.3.1 ...
#
