how do i: Emerge Wine

When I installed sabayon I looked through the files and removed the install for wine as I wanted to compile it from source later. After installation I pulled up a terminal went to SU typed in PW and then typed emerge wine-1.1.4, which gave me this

I am still not getting it right

I went to gentoos site went to the package database and it shows available there.

Did you do emerge --sync and layman -S first?

I did that and I recieved the below. Is there supposed to be a space beween the = and the wine-1.1.4? Am I simply typing it in wrong?

which version of Sabayon Linux are you using?

if you emerge --sync followed by emerge wine - it has to work

wine-1.1.4 is old so don't know why u are trying to install that in the first place

the correct way to specify a version is
=category/package-version

(even in 2008 that version was old) No cookies for you
