Updated Ibiblio with 3.5.1

ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distrib ... -3.5.1.iso

ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distrib ... -3.5.1.iso

Torrents :
Guy's with complete copies keep on seeding until at least avg. 3 seeds is available or more or download via ftp and replace current torrent with the downloaded iso file and start torrent program again , hash check / force recheck to fill in anything missing and so help seed as well.

Enjoy.

How long has the 2.6.27 kernel been out, this is shipping with 2.6.26? No flash 10 already installed?

The primary goal of the 3.5.1 release is to address the issue of the large backlog of update packages that were waiting for you when you installed 3.5.

We are also trying to do better about preserving some stability within a release level, and save the bigger changes for when we bump the major revision level.

Stay tuned for Sabayon Linux 4.0. We are focusing on putting the features you just mentioned and many more into that release.

1st three lines:
Sabayon Linux has released an update for the 3.5 branch. The primary focus of this release is to provide a version that is current with the Entropy repository for the 3.5 branch. This will alleviate the updating that is currently necessary after installing Sabayon Linux 3.5.

AnotherGood Show.

Live Disk booted a little slower than 3.5, on the Intel Q6700, all SATA, Nvidia 8600GT, but System performance was actually quicker and very smooth, so great trade off for the latter, don't you think?

This comes with more preloaded working programs and drivers than any other OS, and the One-Click for Compiz is just a snap, so there is nothing much left to do.......but Enjoy!

Fantastic. Thanks Again.

/sbin/V86d helper not loaded error, before par port testing on 3.5.1 x32
0x4f00 err=-2

Looks and feels good.

Dell laptop buttons seems to work when focus is in virtualbox = wow very nice.

ipv6 in lsmod should we repost ipv6 on / off switch post / link ??

Suggestions:
Example:
Possible future tweak ?
After selecting no kde no gnome no 3d games and default the rest as is , is there a way then to unmount the games squasfs image and other mounted images that is not needed + continue with install , this might help with slow installs and low memory pc's 768mb and lower ?
Also after un-mounting obviously you are not going to play westnot and other games then the icons on the desktop can be removed similar to un-mounting a usb hard drive / partition ?
This way no one can click the icon / now broken link on desktop that is linked to games-squasfs that is unmounted ?

Seems that using terminal + mke2fs -j /dev/sdb3 is faster than using installer gparted type method to format partition ?
Maybe can be used instead to speed up install times or doing a parallel task like gathering info about installed packages while in background you have mke2fs -j /dev/sda4 or similar ?
Parallel instead of serial for installer ?

Kernel / modules:
Load all modules at dvd start and during install parallel check what is working and needed for successful working machine and remove unneeded modules + build new genkernel from this info for new installed / boot ?
Obviously keeping say intel_hda but removing oss and other sound modules , keeping basic wifi as it might change but lan will likely not change so can remove extra lan modules , video might change but can reinstall or add module once needed .
3 months change rule if hardware stay's the same for 3 months keep it , if it might change then keep that as well all others not needed = bye bye .

Hope this makes sense or someone can translate it into english .

2 hours install on virtualbox 768mb , 2x2.16ghz , 64vram piix4 , usb 30MB/s hd using pre-formated hd after reboot.
No 3d games , no kde , no gnome , everything else = default.

Thanks for the help. It's always good to have more seeders. :)

Added a note to the release notes

** Please note - before installing, run "svn up /opt/anaconda" to fix some installer issues that were discovered after release**
