I would do it mainly because I want to try KDE4...
So the basic question is: what could I break? Some basic applications and libraries (that probably can be fixed) or would my system be unusable?
P.S. I run an updated 3.5
1) cd /var/lib/entropy/client/database/x86/sabayonlinux.org/standard/x86/3.5/
2) cp packages.db.mask packages.db.mask.back | sed 's/^/#/' packages.db.mask >> filetemp.txt | cat filetemp.txt > packages.db.mask && rm filetemp.txt

I know I should unmask kde4, but on the 3.5 branch this would give me KDE4.0.5
The 4.0 branch has KDE4.1.2 (or newer) which is what I would like to try out. The community repo 'zenana' used to have it. But it is removed from that repo stating that it is available on the 4.0 branch...
So what are the risks in switching to that branch?
equo world --upgrade 4 && equo update && equo install kde-meta --ask
