Surely you weren't making a snide comment, trying to show your disdain for Obama, since the USA Presidential Election is over and it would serve no purpose. Unless, the purpose is to simply start a bitter debate that no side will 'win'.

I'm sorry, I fail to see where holding a contrary opinion is a bad thing, or where voicing it is sewing dissent. However as I voted my beliefs, I can proudly say I voted for neither of the idiots as neither is fit to lead a parade let alone a country. Hopefully the meager libertarian vote will still send the message that the extreme partisan politics is unacceptable.

I'll give this one more whirl, because that's the kind of guy I am, and then move on. Your beliefs are fine. Your opinion is fine. The way you presented it was not pleasant or appealing in your first post on this thread. The saying "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" comes to mind. I have no problem with you believing in better choices that what was made. I can also honestly say that I am not a big fan of being stuck with a two party system in the US as well. However, I do have a problem with you calling the next president of the USA a socialist and an idiot. I am not a fan of John McCain, but I have never called him an idiot. I doubt you would very much like it if I called your candidate of choice an idiot.

This isn't a political thing, it's an attitude thing. You have nothing to gain by calling either McCain or Obama an idiot. It can only hinder your efforts, especially if you want to convince other people that voting for an independent like you did is the right thing to. I'm not trying to chastise you, I'm trying to inform you of how expressing a negative opinion, whether truthful or not, is an option often best left not taken.

sorry,I did not want to create controversy with my post
apart from my sympathy for obama, these elections were in my opinion an example
of modern democracy.
I hope that in Italy you learn to have respect for the opponent, and once the elections there is cooperation to solve problems that concern not only an individual country but the whole world.
Even if the views are discordant, at least hope for a better world that is what we all want.
