sudo equo database generate didn't work
manually emerging the 0.23.8 packages didn't work
rm /var/lib/entropy/client/database/x86/sabayonlinux.org/standard/x86/3.5/* worked
but is there a better way if it happens again?

the latest entropy allows you to back up the db - check with equo --help

Just re-download the repository

so "sudo equo database backup" will backup the repository database. But, is that all the repositories? Or, can one pick and choose (I tend to have jenna as well). It was only the main sabayonlinux repository database that will damaged.

There are two different databases, one is your system database, which seems sane, and which you can backup with the tools provided in 0.23.x. The other one is the repository database, if it got corrupted, who cares, just redownload it using "equo update --force". Try again now since we had several programmed downtimes these days.

Again, if the repository database is damaged, and even the --force option won't overwrite it, is it best to "rm /var/lib/entropy/client/database/x86/sabayonlinux.org/standard/x86/3.5/*", or is there a better way?
