How do I disable entropy to sync portage in a big emerge?
Sometimes I am interpreted by a stupid "Ready?" question.

I want to emerge world and I want to go to sleep

if you are using portage and world updating than you don't want to be using entropy so just uninstall it all

I have the same problem quite often

a) update to latest entropy 0.23.x builds have improvements to stop gentoosyncs
b) there is a script http://www.sabayonlinux.org/sabayon/scr ... toosync.py which fixes some files. it helped for me.

Ty for the info. Guess if I wanna get rid of that in one shot I'll have to uninstall entropy before world updates.

Really thank entropy for the com_err issue and KDE split ebuilds fix though. Good to see something those Gentoo geek feel too lazy to do be done! Now I have to decide...
