Postby roscaman » Mon Oct 20, 2008 10:09

Hi there,
just wanna know if someone of you guys tried anytime this,i got a linux host ( elyssa mint) and after install the VMware Workstation 6.5 i decided to use this awesome distro like guest. The point is i'm having some problems with the update manager, i could not update the system, i got a warning shows me a bug which is pretty knows, i don't get it, anyone knows?...and the second issue is how to complete the VMware-Tools installation,i know that the linux distro needs the c compiler, matchs the kernel-source with my actual kernel version and the make compiler command, but i don't know how to get it,is it possible to use the dvd like a resource ? , if anyone knows something i will really appreciate it, i'm so stuck,i really want to use this distro a little bit more.

Code: Select all
# equo update

Code: Select all
# equo install app-emulation/vmware-modules x11-drivers/xf86-video-vmware
