Entropy strange behaviour

Postby thenthenio » Sun Sep 21, 2008 23:33

Now I have 2 PCs running SL 3.5 x86_64: a desktop (AMD dual core) and a laptop (Intel dual core).
Today the laptop decided to update 341 packages: the whole kde suite, now About KDE reports KDE 3.5.10.
On the desktop PC no updates at all the system looks up to date even looking for updates manually and About KDE reports KDE 3.5.9.
Is there an explanation of this?

Bye.

Should be identical.
Could be you have to update spritz / entropy / ??? database.

Once this is done it might show missing 341 packages ?

Should also be able to set the one as repository so instead of re-downloading every thing / 341 it can pull it in from the other pc ? / much faster / saves internet LOL

I did nothing of all that.
Yesterday evening, after 2 days from the other PC, it warned me of the 341 packages to upgrade!
Maybe it is a randomiring access to upgrades in order to reduce download charge on repositories?

Bye.
