Big Packages don't download [Solved]

I am trying to update Sabayon but, I cannot fully download the packages.

What is the problem?
Maybe it is because I live far away from the mirrors?

What version are you using ? of sabayonlinux and are you using emerge / equo / spritz ?

How is your speedtest / ping on www.speedtest.net or www.dslreports.com/stest ?

Have you for the fun of it run
# net-setup

and see if it works after this ?

I presume the rest of your internet is working fine in SL ?

Does it do the same using ?
# emerge -s wesnoth
# emerge wesnoth

I live in the US. I will run those other commands when i get home.

That was the problem. I recompiled the driver from CVS and it worked fine, although installation takes an abnormally long time.

Any installation of sabayon is slow... Even when it uses binaries, the system optimizes for your machine arch.
Remerber that Sabayon is a gentoo,
is a compilation Linux.
the only disadvantage is the time to install or update,
but sabayon is a great Linux.
You said that is novice to command line, the bash.
the Gentoo handbook, gentoo wiki, an sabayoy wiki,foruns, have a lot of useful documentation.
Sabayon is a modified Gentoo Linux, and is Gentoo compatible.
The commands are the same...
I have in mind that you will enjoy. Sabayon is a great, baautiful Linux Distro.
