Counterstrike + Wine [Solved]

Hi all, im having problems running steam games such as counterstrike in wine.
Ive done quite a few google searches and couldnt find anything that works for me.

I have steam and games installed on my sabayon box, and would like some help in getting these to run as i hope to make a full switch to sabayon and get rid of my windows partition, it'd be nice eh

Well im running the latest version of sabayon and steam runs quite nicely apart from a cursor bug where its actually off slightly so i have to hover the mouse above or around a button in the main steam windows but this isnt an issue as i have the game icons on my desktop.
The problem is that when i try to run a game its says "Preparing to launch counterstike" for example.
ANd then the diologue dissapears and then i get nothing, no game loading or error message :S

I've also tried in the konsole;
env WINEPREFIX="/home/<UserName>/.wine/" WINEDEBUG="fixme-all" wine C:/Program\ Files/Steam/Steam.exe -fullscreen \ -width 1024 -height 768 -applaunch 240 \ -heapsize 512000 +map_background none "$@" \ -dxlevel 70 -novid


and yet nothing
I dont know if anyone else is having this problem, but according to google users of ubuntu and the like have had this problem and simpley using -dxlevel 70, has solved it for them,
Do you reckon i should update wine, im using version 1.1.0. and everything from photoshop to flash to freelancer has ran nicely.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as counterstrike is one of my favorite games and so is portal haha.

make sure you have turned off Compiz-Fusion

Yeah had done that already, no dice.
BUT!!!!

I got it now, after some searching it turns out that the games dont like to load when you have the steam in game comunity thing enabled, so all i had to do was turn that off in steam and the games now load, Guess it has something to do with wine not being compatible with the directX ovelay or whatever it uses to draw the in game community over the game :S

Gonna probably right an article in the sabayon wiki and post a link to it here with all the info about getting steam up and running.
