feature request: "pin" a package so update won't be shown

i have a box that needs the legacy nvidia driver. It would be good if there was a way that the current nvidia driver would not show in equo or spritz updates. Thanks!

Agreed. I think masking could be added into Spritz though. I know that you can install masked packages within spritz, might as well be able to mask a package (unless you can and I just don't know how).

So, I'll try this way -- I'll code

echo \>=x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-97.00 >> /etc/portage/package.mask

and then the newer drivers won't show up
