deluge won't launch

Postby 5mattyb5 » Wed Jul 23, 2008 7:36

I blindly installed my updates today and now Deluge won't open, here is the error I'm getting

focus@localhost ~ $ deluge
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/deluge", line 45, in <module>
import deluge.core
File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/deluge/core.py", line 59, in <module>
import deluge_core
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/deluge/deluge_core.so: undefined symbol: _ZN5boost10filesystem6detail15not_found_errorE

Can anyone make any sense of this I would really appreciate any help I can get

how did you update - it would be nice to state what package manager you are using

from a couple of days I'm having the same issue. I use Entropy with Spritz.
I suppose the build depend on Python 2.3 and misses something of 2.5. But why has it worked until now?
Is there a chance by the way to have the 1.00 RC3 in Entropy?

Code: Select all
harri@localhost ~ $ qbittorrent
qbittorrent: symbol lookup error: qbittorrent: undefined symbol: _ZN5boost10filesystem6detail15not_found_errorE
harri@localhost ~ $ deluge
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/deluge", line 45, in <module>
    import deluge.core
  File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/deluge/core.py", line 59, in <module>
    import deluge_core
ImportError: /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/deluge/deluge_core.so: undefined symbol: _ZN5boost10filesystem6detail15not_found_errorE
harri@localhost ~ $

There's couple.. I only booted and did equo update && equo world and it updated 2 packages.

I used Spritz to update after it was done I merged all the config files. I'm sorry but I can't even begin to tell you what packages were upgraded.

I'm sure its not due latest deluge package on entropy.

:D

I think deluge 1.0 will be out soon enough, i'll bump that as soon its available. (yes, skipping the Release Candidates, past week we had 2)
