hi , i compiled latest mplayer-checkout-snapshot source package successfully. how can i build .tbz2 binary package after compile ?

Compiled as in downloaded it yourself and compiled? or compiled as in using emerge?

You basically have 2 options that i know of.

1. Build the package in a sandbox and install it within the sandbox and then tar it up.

2. Write an ebuild for the package and use portage to build the binary package with `emerge --buildpkg`

#2 being the proper way to do it in gentoo/sabayon
