VDI Machine File Transfer

Postby rcdeacon » Fri Jul 04, 2008 15:09

I am VERY NEW to Sabayon. It installed well on my Acer Aspire 5002. I am running kde and I have installed windows xp in virtualbox which also works well. My question is this, I want to replace Ubuntu 8.04 with Sabayon 3.5 on my desktop. It already has virtualbox up and running. If I install Sabayon is there a way to retain some of my personal stuff especially the VDI with windows xp on it? I actually tried to transfer the VDI file to my Acer but that did not work at all. It gave an error about the file being corrupted and unusable. I was trying to avoid the same problem. Thanks for you help.

P.S. I hope I posted this in the correct place. I apologize for my newness.

You should just be able to transfer VDIs from one place to another. I suggest that you look on the virtualbox forum if you are having problems.
