Sabayon-Branded Openoffice

All,

I created a splash-screen for openoffice to replace the gentoo-branded or vanilla one. Because I am unable to upload .bmp files, I posted it over at kde-look.org

I may make a few more to brand the 'about' dialog as well. I figured this would tie the distro together a bit more.

I like it. I think entropy should have this one as default.

I like it too, but personally would prefer the OpenOffice version number to be included on the splash screen too, as per the original splash screen.

Understandable, but note that the font is not available without fees, and I didn't want to make a bunch of versions right off the bat.

I'll throw up a version 2.4 soon, and will try to approximate the font.

I modified the splash to show the versions number. I used the most recent version -- 2.4 when 2.5 comes out, I'll change it as well.

Do you think we should put the longer version numbers, i.e. 2.4.X??

Is there going to be a version 2.5? I thought that the next version will be 3?

I think that, if longer version numbers are shown on the original splash screen, it would be good to put them on 'your' splash screen too.

I'm not sure about 2.5, I know they're working fervently on 3.0. I was just making a point that we'll need to have a series of these screens for the various versions of OOo

The regular splash screen only shows two digits, and doesn't reflect the incremental changes (i.e. 2.3.1). So I'll leave it as-is for now.

With 3.0, there may be more design changes, so I may have to completely revamp the splash. Time will tell!!

Does anyone think I should make it more of a brighter red color? Do we have an "Official" Sabayon color I can work with?
