Translators needed for the Sabayon Project.

bg.po is 56% done now. I am using Kbabel. Hopefully that will still produce a correct file.

I am going to have to get equo before I can go on. There are some translations that may be incorrect depending on where they are used. Is it easy to add the po files and build equo with the new translations? I have not done anything like this before. Any tips would be appreciated.

Hi node_one,

I also translated Spritz to Catalan using Kbabel and it doesn't matter which program you use to translate (kbabel, poedit, ...), the file you get is the same. Just wanted to tell you that when you have finished the file you just have to send it to Eden and they'll hang it to svn and will be usable for everyone.

One more thing, and that should be done by any translator: you al should all try Spritz with the translated version in YOUR SYSTEM before hanging it to SVN. You'll see some errors - that always happen because when you translate the po file, the sentences are just a list of sentences without any context, and it's difficult to find the exact meaning for all of them. In my opinion, trying the po files is a MUST before hanging them to the net, but (as always) that's just my opinion.

I translated Spritz to Spanish of Spain (es_ES) from the .pot template
I tried in my system and seems to be ok.
It's complete except for the string "execv didn't execv?" What does it means and in what context is shown?

The actual file for spanish is spanish of Mexico (es_MX). Also, it has 3 little errors:

Theres a problem with your translation.

its riddled with similar errors, you cant leave the msgstr empty. Translate what you can and leave anything you can still in English, have a read over the original post again if you need, would be great to get your translation in.

thanks for updating the es_MX translation. Now is fine!

You asked for critics so: just tell you that the sample is called spritz.pot, but the language file has to be called "es_MX.po" in your case. (The name of the file you sent was "es_MX.pot")

I just changed to the correct name and it will go up to svn in a few minutes.
