If anyone is translating for bg, post here so we are not duplicating work. I am not a linguist and the lack of a proper keyboard makes it a lot slower for me. About 1/8 done.

I don't think there is node_one

If there is anyone who knows German Phoenix64 is working on translating some of the wiki into German and could always use some help.

CatalanUser has been doing a lot of work on Ca translations.

Id love to see some French translations up there :)

I'm always on IRC if anyone thinking of helping out.

Only the Spanish main page has been translated and the FAQ, the main page needs a small update to add the translation notice.

You can translate whatever you like, though the main article are the most important (the links on the main page and the En:HOWTO:_The_Complete_Portage_Guide )

You can do as much or as little as you like, most important is it does not need to be a word for word translation, if the English doesn't fit right in Spanish feel free to just completely change the sentence or paragraph. The English article's are only a guide so dont worry if you need to make the article a little different.

I'm on IRC if you need any help if you do any translations, and theres sometimes others who may be able to help you with the translations on IRC as well.

I want to help too, in translating from English to Spanish, but I didn't find how to do that.
I dowloaded and installed the poeditor and translated the Spritz's po file, but that was already done.
I went to the wiki, but I can not find how to translate those pages.
What should I do?

If you come on irc stick around for more than a minute :) Its live char but not always instant.

basically pick a page you want to translate, ill use the main page as an example, now create a new article to do this you just type the address into the nav bar along with the title of the new article so the main page for the Spanish translation would be http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=Es:Main_Page

Then just copy the layout of the English main page and translate what it says into Spanish. you dont need to do all of it in one fo, so you can do a bit, save it and come back to it later.

You will need to register an account on the wiki if you dont have one, it only takes a minute or two.

Well, I've been translating some pages of the Wiki to Spanish, but I have a problem.

Until now, I've been translating pages linked directly to the Wiki Main Page in Spanish. Now I want to start translating pages from the HOWTO section, but those pages, are linked to the HOWTO's page, not to the Main Page, and If I try to translate any of the HOWTO's. they would be posted as a single webpage, and the body of the translation would be a part of the HOWTO's page ...I mean, the structure changes. Is that right?

How can I do to keep the original Wiki page structure?
I mean http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=Main_Page links to http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php?title=HOWTOs that links to http://wiki.sabayonlinux.org/index.php? ... om_Windows
Or, is it automatically linked?

Create a page called Es:HOWTO (or similar) link that to the Spanish main page

- to link pages you put the name of the page around double brakets like this [[Es:HOWTO]] -

Then in that howto page you put links the the Spanish translations of the howtos
