problem with vmware on startup

Postby bobbintb » Thu Mar 20, 2008 20:00

after finally getting vmware to function properly, i still have one issue. i had the issue where i had to delete the "not_configured" file and also manually start the services by running this in the terminal as root:

/etc/init.d/vmware start && rc-update ass vmware default

the problem is that when i restart the machine i have to rerun the command and re-delete the file. anyway to fix this? i thought about maybe a script or something but im not good enough at linux to do that. ive scoured the forums and found nothing so forgive me if this has already been addressed.
