new guy wanting info

Postby random guy » Fri Sep 15, 2006 2:04

hey everyone, i am currently running kororaa xgl on my system and was wondering what some of the differences between kororaa and sabayon were.

i was interested in learning more about sabayon because it seems like kororaa xgl will never have any new versions and this is starting to look kinda good.

when i saw your latest realease i checked tuc machines for reviews of sabayon and found this: http://www.tuxmachines.org/node/4933

suposedly there were issues then? this guy says the install doesnt work and may mess up part table, that all fixed up now or would i be risking it?

i am on an x86 system without a dvd drive. i have installed gentoo manually, the r3 way, on x86 and ppc. so i think i basically know what i am doing but i kinda want it to just work out of the box you know... the reason i didnt stick with gentoo was too hard to set up my linksys wusb11 usb wireless device. it was a serious pain. are there some tips for setting it up? is there an ebuild of the file i need (atmel or something like that) such that i can copy it on a floppy and get it to unpack and work automatically. i mostly have expierience with ubuntu so i am not that sure.

by the way i dont really get that whole cce thing, i am in us that a problem?

We've migrated from GLI to an anaconda based installer, no more bad partitioning
