I get a «design issue» when i run Portato.. The «execute» buttons disappear way out to the right side... I have to drag the portato window over to another desktop, so that I am able to see the execute button..

Is this the infamous gtk-bug, which makes the window expand infinitly to the right side, or some kind of another bug? - Would you mind making a screenshot?

Hi Sabayon guys :)

I just wanted to announce, that Portato still looks for translators :).

At the moment we have:
- Polish
- Catalan (this one is very outdated)
- German
- English (of course)

If you want to contribute - please have a look at http://portato.origo.ethz.ch/wiki/translating . I would really appreciate, if portato gets support for some more languages :).

Short announcement for these of you using the overlay:
I changed the SCM system from svn to bzr. So you need to delete the overlay and re-add it:
Code: Select all
layman -d portato
emerge -uav bzr
layman -o http://portato.sf.net/layman.xml -a portato

Announcement

There is a new release coming: 0.10
But to not have this starting in a disaster, I'm running a one-week beta-phase prior the launch. To participate, just install the beta and look for errors :)

Install:
Code: Select all
layman -o http://portato.sf.net/layman.xml -f -a portato
emerge -av "=portato-0.10_beta"

NOTE: This is a live ebuild, i.e. the code is directly pulled out of the code reposority. To have all beta users use the most recent revision, a plugin is installed, which is run on startup and checks for the most recent revision and compares it against the installed one. In case of a newer revision being available, an alert is shown. (Requires the libnotify useflag being set.)

Changelog:
  • NEW: interactive search - get results while typing
  • NEW: the list of useflags is also displayed in the "general" tab
  • NEW: dependency-tab
  • NEW: show slots in the version list
  • NEW: to get all important version information if an error occurred, they are now displayed right below the error message :)
  • I18N: turkish translation :)
  • FIX: fixed bugs, which made the window increase in version 0.9.0.x
  • REGRESSION: GTK is the only supported frontend now
