emerge quake4 or emerge ut2004 or emerge doom3
Are they being compiled from source or are they emulated through wine or something?

On the software box it normally tells you what operating systems it supports - if not, do some research.

WOW does not have a linux install. For games, many use Cedega to play windows games in linux. Sometime you can get wine or crossover to play some. I got Guild Wars to work with Wine.

Ok thanks... I don't think I'll ever buy any Windows-only games though.

you would be suprised by how many windows games you can get to work using wine or cedega. All of the current games I play outside of one (EQ2) I got to work in linux very well. Also the last one will be supported by Cedega soon.

Lol true!!! But I don't like to support companies who make games only for Windows... I am a very very casual gamer.

i tried "emerge quake3" tonight and it seemed to do it... but it didn't copy the pak files over as suggested above...

unless it doesn't work with quake3?? or maybe i need to do quake3-bin instead of quake3 ??

any clues? cheers
