Me have a little problem... like sometimes:
I installed VDR after the gentoos vdr-guide (I hope so).

And, like every VDR-installation, it won't work, after the point i start VDR
(/etc/init.d/vdr start)
i only became this output:
localhost vdr # /etc/init.d/vdr start
* Preparing start of vdr:
* config files ... [ ok ]
* Waiting for prerequisits (devices nodes etc.) ... [ ok ]
* Starting vdr ...
vdr: can't access video directory /var/vdr/video
* Failed to start vdr. [ !! ]
any one have an idea, how this could be fixed?
I tried some other distro's in the past, and the only distro it really runs every time was kanotix...
All other installs on other distros every time has the same problem!
first, its not the directory i wanna use to record, and second, i need help
