Updating lxnay linux

Postby Slumock » Fri Nov 18, 2005 13:40

I've been searching around for a good Linux distribution that supported SATA drives (with a 2.6.14 kernel). I'm so glad to have found one, I'm very impressed by Lxnay Design Linux.

I've installed it on my Hard Drive, and now wish to update anything that needs updating.

When I run the software packager I see there are 380 updates available, the problem I am experiencing is when I run the update program it does not complete successfully, most of the updates are ok, but some generate errors and stop the update progress.
xbase4-xfwm (from memory) is one of them.

Does anyone know a sure way of updating without errors... maybe I could install apt-get or yum.

Any suggestions on this, sorry to be a little vague - writing this in work.

What? You've got Gentoo and you're not using Portage?!!

You must be a little confused.

I'm running the update program, and getting errors.
