Please replace the ADSL modem driver net-dialup/speedtouch with new net-dialup/speedtouch-usb. Better latency.

Oh, and the driver that is installed I don't think it can work cause the firmware is not present and a speedtouch-setup script that should be run according to the instructions is not present either. The firmware that you're supposed to find at a certain link is not there either. For some reason the speedtch kernel module is included and started although I don't think it can work without the speedtouch-usb package (I tried).
